  • Use case Implementation Steps:

Implementation Stage 1: Prepare the Email Content  

  • Design all email templates in advance:

    • Main Campaign Email (original offer or booking email)

    • Reminder Email 1 (after 24 hours)

    • Reminder Email 2 (after 3 days)

    • Resend Emails (after 2 days & 7 days for non-openers)

    • Clicked But Not Booked Reminders (2h, 8h, 24h)

    • Post-Booking Follow-up Email

 

Implementation Stage 2: Create a Mailing List

  • Import or sync user data (email IDs, names, etc.) into Zoho Campaigns

  • Segment your list if needed (e.g., only new users, specific campaign, etc.)

  • Ensure you have permission-based contacts to comply with email policies

 

Implementation Stage 3: Set Up the Automation Journey

  1. Go to Automation > Journey

  2. Click “Create Journey”

  3. Name the journey, and select "Start from Scratch"

 

Implementation Stage 4: Add the Entry Trigger

  • Choose “When a contact joins a mailing list”
    (or)

  • Use “When email is sent” if you want to begin when a campaign is triggered

 

Implementation Stage 5: Define Path 1: User Opens Email but Doesn't Book

  • Add the "Opens Email" condition

  • Add a “Wait for 24 hours”

  • Then add “Send Reminder Email 1”

  • Add another, “Wait for 3 days”

  • Then add “Send Reminder Email 2”

  • Add a condition to monitor if they clicked and booked (optional via webhook or CRM integration)

 

Implementation Stage 6: Define Path 2: User Does Not Open Email   

  • Add "Did not open email in 2 days" condition

  • Resend the same email (or slight variation)

  • Add another “Wait for 5 more days” (total 7 days)

  • Again, resend the email

  • If they open at any point → add a switch back to Path 1

 

Implementation Stage 7: Define But No Booking Flow

  • Add “Clicked on Link” condition

  • Add a wait for 2 hours → Send Reminder

  • Then wait 8 hours → Send another Reminder

  • Wait again for 24 hours → Send final Reminder

  • In each step, check if booking occurred → If Yes, stop this path and send Follow-up Email

 

Implementation Stage 8 : Define Add Final Step - Post-Booking Follow-Up

  • If a user clicks and books → trigger a Follow-up/Thank You Email

  • Optionally add a tag in CRM or Zoho Campaign to mark them as "Booked"

 

Implementation Stage 9: Activate and Monitor  

  • Click "Start Journey"

  • Monitor:

    • Open Rates

    • Click Rates

    • Conversions (Bookings)

    • Drop-off points

  • 🛍️ Leads interested in services/events/products requiring booking

  • 📩 Any subscribers who show partial or no engagement with the first email
